What a day for blogging. Work produced a small article on Barak Obama which i'll endeavour to post tomorrow (check the updates page). However, I did manage to post two blogs. First off on the Daily Telegraph's My Blog's page I brought back an old story from March called Diagnosis Murder. Then on yaplog I wrote and posted my first blog in Japanese about being stopped by the police. It was written as a semi-rant semi-comedy though apparently the Japanese is the funniest thing, funnier even than the nob joke...darn it. (To see the Japanese blog Click Here).

The day started out with a late rush as usual and to compound matters Natsumi and I forgot to make rice this morning. After three years of avoiding a rice based diet I've finally adapted to it. In Japan its sticky and easy to eat with chopsticks. Speaking of which today Natsumi bought me a pair of illuminous blue-green chopsticks with their own case.

Do you ever hear a noise and just cannot bring yourself to accept that you just heard it? Well, I was taking a photo of my lovely new chopsticks when this loud ripping / air bursting noise errupted from down the hallway... I thought Natsumi was a quiet girl. That was until she let a fart escape in the shower.

Work was fine enough. Two classes with the first year students. The bad boy had this lard scar running down his temple from a fight with a good hearted kid with ADHD. Seems the bad boy (AKA Little Johnny) had said something and ADHD Boy reacted badly. Sadly for our English class Little Johnny still hadnt learnt to keep his trap shut. At times it was a little tempting to give him a matching scar. In the other class Nonaka had made a baseball bat out of newspaper. Fair enough you think though not appropriate for class. After confiscating it for the duration of our class together I found several bamboo rods inserted inside. Needless to say we came to an agreement over the ownership of the bamboo rods which now adorn my bin.

After work, and a day without lunch, we went shopping in the local Okuwa supermarket for dinner. Then it was home, loaded with food, to cook. This time we opted for homemade Tonkatsu (fried pork cutlets) with my mash potatoes and carrots. We also fried up some salmon, asparagus and cheese in bredcrumbs... oishii (delicious).

I will finish with some photos I found from shopping in Umeda, Osaka, on Saturday. There's the Love Liyon sign and a lovely restaurant I really want to visit...
